After many years of painting landscapes in oil, I began to explore abstraction and I experimented with acrylic paint, acrylic ink, mixed media and watercolor.
This inquiry into new materials and forms led me to explore interconnected themes with each new series: the sea, dreams, energy, the cycle of life and death. Referencing Richard Diebenkorn, I sought to deconstruct my landscapes and further investigate the unknown. Working with colors and shapes, my current conceptual work reflects my vision of the East End of Long Island and it's still breathtaking beauty.
